Now, when you call our offices, you'll always be greeted by one of our friendly and incredibly helpful staff. We love hearing from new patients and getting to know you is one of our favorite things. We can talk with you about your concerns and answer most of your questions. From there, the next step is to schedule a time for you to meet with Dr. Hall to talk in-person about your breast implant procedure. Some of the things you'll discuss with him are your goals for the procedure, your fears and concerns, and all of the questions that you might have. Dr. Hall will always talk honestly and openly with you. He'll also perform an examination so that he can start to make recommendations and develop your unique treatment plan. We would love to learn more about you and to help you move forward so contact us today.
One of the many decisions that our patients make with Dr. Hall is the placement of their breast implants. Patients have two different options: under the muscle and over the muscle. The "muscle" in this case is the chest muscle (pectoralis major). There are several factors that determine which placement is best for you.
One of the primary considerations for where to place the implants is the amount of breast tissue available to the patient. In patients that have lots of available breast tissue, over the muscle placement is preferred for the breast implants. Patients that don't have a lot of breast tissue may get better results with under the muscle placement because it gives a more natural look.
Now, we won't go into detail here about the disadvantages of each method for placing breast augmentation implants. Patients will need to discuss those further with Dr. Hall during their Knoxville Plastic Surgery consultations.
