But how long will the treatment itself last? The average Botox treatment will last for about 3 months. Some patients lose the effect sooner and others will notice little change for 4-5 months.

What About Other Non-Surgical Options?

Many Knoxville Plastic Surgery patients look to fillers such as Juvederm, Voluma, or Restylane to restore volume lost as they age. These fillers add hyaluronic acid (which is normally found in your tissues) to help add volume to the area they are injected. This results in firmer skin for 6-9 months; Voluma lasts up to 2 years.

Laser Skin Resurfacing

A more aggressive form of skin treatment involves using a laser to help tighten the top layers of the skin. Some laser skin treatments are very effective in tightening skin with little downtime other than some redness; these typically require 3-4 treatments to be optimally effective. Other laser treatments are incredibly effective with one treatment, but unlike Botox and fillers it can take a week or two to recover completely.
