Breast Augmentation – It’s Good For You!

November 18th, 2012 / Back to Blog »

Breast Augmentation is once again in the news – but this time for something positive!

A paper published in the July edition of the most widely read plastic surgery journal (disclaimer: I review potential papers for this journal but had nothing to do with this one) found that women who have undergone breast enlargement surgery scored higher on psychological and sexual well-being surveys than they had before having surgery.

While not earth-shattering findings by any means, this study does scientifically support what those of us who perform breast augmentation surgery have known and seen in our own practices. Women who have breast-enlargement – whether it’s silicone or saline, and regardless of size before or after – are happier with themselves and have a more positive outlook about all aspects of their life after surgery than before.

Simply stated, there is a psychological benefit that is directly related to surgery itself. Call it what you will – a confidence boost, feeling more feminine, or simply feeling more comfortable in your own skin.

The fact of the matter is that the benefits of breast augmentation are more than physical.

Click over to the breast augmentation page of the website, where you’ll find information about the different breast augmentation options, the surgery itself.  This time of year is a great time to have surgery if it’s something that you’re considering – you’ll be ready well ahead of swimsuit season!

As always, you can visit my Facebook page (Jason Hall, M.D. Plastic Surgery) and ask questions or discuss any topic – plastic surgery or otherwise.  Don’t forget to “Like” me when you’re there!
