Radiofrequency microneedling is everywhere right now, but not all devices (or results) are the same.

This week on The Trillium Show, I'm breaking down the real differences between Morpheus8 and Genius RF, based on my experience as a board-certified plastic surgeon who has owned, used, and ultimately moved on from Morpheus8.

I was one of the early adopters of Morpheus8 in my region. While it delivered results, it also came with significant drawbacks, especially when it came to pain, consistency, and how energy was being delivered into the skin. After a year, I sold the device and largely stepped away from RF microneedling altogether.

Years later, I revisited the technology, and what I found changed my mind.

In this episode, we cover:
 • Why RF microneedling can work well (or backfire) depending on the device
 • How needle sharpness, motor control, and depth accuracy affect outcomes
 • Why pain is often a sign of poor engineering, not better treatment
 • The truth about fat loss, collagen stimulation, and why deeper isn’t better
 • How Genius RF’s real-time energy monitoring leads to safer, more consistent results

If you’re considering RF microneedling, or trying to understand why some people get great results while others don’t, this episode will help you see past the marketing and focus on what actually matters for skin quality, safety, and long-term facial aging.

As always, thanks for listening. If you enjoy the show, please leave a review on YouTube or Apple Podcasts to help others find it.
