Brow Lift Procedures
Forehead wrinkles – those lines across your forehead and between your eyes that make you look old and angry – are common as we age. Treatments such as Botox and injectable fillers can minimize these lines, but are temporary solutions to a permanent problem.
Brow lift surgery raises the skin and muscles of the forehead and elevates the eyebrows to a more youthful position. This restores a youthful look and can eliminate the “tired” appearance of the eyebrows, and is a permanent solution to repeated Botox and filler injections.
Am I a Candidate for Brow Lift Surgery?
You may be a candidate for brow lift surgery if you are healthy and:
- Have deep forehead wrinkles or “11” lines between your eyebrows
- Feel your eyebrows make you look tired or angry
- Have deep “Crow’s feet” at the corners of your eyes
Brow Lift Surgery & Procedure
Brow lift surgery is performed in an outpatient surgery center, and is done under anesthesia. Surgery length can range in time depending on what different procedures you and Dr. Hall decide are right for you. You will go home the day of the procedure and will apply cooling packs to your face to minimize swelling and discomfort.
Brow Lift Recovery
You will have some mild swelling of your scalp and forehead that will resolve over the first week. Because of the swelling, most people take a week off of work for brow lift surgery recovery. Sutures are typically removed 5 days after surgery, although these sutures are not noticeable to anyone but you (they are usually all hidden within your hair or hairline).
If you have any questions about your brow lift surgery or would like to meet with Dr. Hall to discuss your options, call (865) 973-9500 or use our contact form and request an appointment. For out of town patients, feel free to request an online consult via Skype.
