Knoxville Nose Plastic Surgery (Rhinoplasty)
The nose is considered to be the focal point of the face. If you are unhappy with your nose – whether it is too large, crooked, or has unsightly bumps and a poor contour – it will be the one thing that you, and others, will focus on.
During a rhinoplasty, nose plastic surgery (or “nose job”), Dr. Hall will reshape the tissues of your nose to give you the nose that best fits your face. At your consultation, Dr. Hall will examine your nose both inside and out, and will work with you do come up with a treatment plan to correct the parts of your nose you don’t like, as well as correcting any problems with the airway that may be making it difficult to breathe through one side of your nose.
Sometimes, to help balance the face and create a more pleasing facial profile, Dr. Hall will recommend that a genioplasty (or chin advancement) or chin implant be performed at the same time. Now using state-of-the-art 3D imaging technology, Dr. Hall can simulate the results of surgery during your consultation – this can help you make sure that the procedure you decide on gives you the cosmetic result you are looking for.

After your examination and a detailed analysis of your nose and face, Dr. Hall will simulate the surgery that will give you the most natural look in 3 dimensions. The Rhinoplasty Procedure
A rhinoplasty is performed in an outpatient surgery center, and is done under anesthesia. The surgery typically takes 2-3 hours. You will go home later that day with soft material inside the nose to hold the tissue in place, as well as a plastic splint or guard on the outside of your nose.
Over the course of the first week after surgery, swelling of the nose is noticible. A small amount of bruising usually occurs, but goes away after approximately a week. The sutures in the small, hidden incisions, as well as the material protecting your nose, are typically removed a week after surgery. After a week, most people can return to work – your nose will look good (although still very slightly swollen), and will continue to improve over the course of time.
