What is Botox?

Patients can get Botox injections to certain locations on their face to smooth out any wrinkles that make them look older and tired. But how does Botox actually accomplish that?

Botox itself is a highly-processed form of the botulinum toxin. Botox is injected into the muscles of the face that pull the skin together to form wrinkles.
