A typical treatment with JUVEDERM Voluma XC takes less than 30 minutes, depending on the areas you and Dr. Hall decide need to be treated. Anesthesia for the procedure can be accomplished in a number of different ways to minimize discomfort (some Knoxville JUVEDERM Voluma XC patients rely on the numbing agent in the gel itself, while others prefer topical skin-numbing cream or numbing injections). You will see the results of JUVEDERM Voluma XC immediately after injection, and some temporary swelling and redness of the treated areas is common for the first day or two after the procedure. The swelling and bruising can be minimized by avoiding aspirin, ibuprofen, or diet supplements containing fish oil or vitamin E for the week before your procedure.
The effects of JUVEDERM Voluma XC last up to two years before re-treatment is necessary to maintain the correction, and some touch-up treatments can be added during that time to maintain the results.
